Lutheran Schools Week Proclamation
Whereas, In grateful response to God's grace and
empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The
Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ
by word and deed within our churches, communities, and the world, and,
Whereas, Congregations of the Lutheran Church –
Missouri Synod carry out the One Mission of our Lord in many ways, including
the very important ministry of making known the love of Christ through
establishing and maintaining Lutheran schools, and,
Whereas, The 2400 Lutheran Early Childhood Centers,
Elementary Schools, and High Schools of the LCMS are s erved by dedicated and
caring teachers, who share the One Message of the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ
on a daily basis, and,
Whereas,”Securing Each Child’s Future – For Eternity” based on John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”(NIV) embraces the unity we receive as One People in Christ,
